New Delhi [India], April 10 (FeedsIndia): The demise of Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, was condoled by Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Saturday.
After Prince Philip’s death was announced by Buckingham Palace on Friday, tributes started to pour in for the late Duke of Edinburgh. Priyanka wrote on her Twitter handle, “So sad to hear the news today. #RestInPeace Prince Philip.”
Aftab Shivdasani, a Bollywood star, also tweeted “RIP,” along with a picture of the late prince that read “The Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021.”
Navya Nanda Naveli, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan condoled the demise of the late prince via an Instagram story.
Saba Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s younger sister and a jewellery designer, also expressed her condolences via an Instagram story.
On Friday, Buckingham Palace announced that Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, died “peacefully” at Windsor Castle at the age of 99.
After her father, King George VI, died suddenly in 1952, Philip became the queen’s consort or official companion. During his 73-year marriage to the queen, he was the longest-serving British consort. (FeedsIndia)
