Washington [US], April 8 (FeedsIndia): After an unauthorized bikini picture of her surfaced over the weekend, American reality TV star Khloe Kardashian spoke out on Wednesday. Many social media users criticized, bullied, and commented on her appearance.
As per TMZ, The 36-year-old star shared an uncut, unedited video from her bathroom on Instagram, revealing her unfiltered appearance to fans. Along with the post, she included a lengthy statement.
“When someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point … you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared – regardless of who you are,” Khloe said.
According to TMZ, the team of Khloe quickly pulled the photo, which showed her poolside in a bikini with no substantial photo edits or airbrushing, and publications were asked to remove it.
The founder of ‘Good American’ said in an Instagram post that the criticism she’s been subjected to her entire life, including being labeled “the ugly sister,” questions about whether Robert was her biological father, and allegations of weight loss surgery, has taken a mental toll on her.
Khloe continued, “It’s almost unbearable trying to live up to the impossible standards that the public have all set for me. For over a decade now in photos, every single flaw and imperfection has been micro-analysed and made fun of to the smallest detail and I am reminded of them every day by the world.”
Khloe finished by saying that while her family has been a huge source of support and positivity, “You never quite get used to being judged and pulled apart and told how unattractive one is, but I will say, if you hear anything enough then you start to believe it.”
She states that everyone, including herself, should be able to delete a picture they don’t like and post just what makes them happy, saying, “I have realised that we cannot continue to live life trying to fit into the perfect mould of what others have set for us. Just do you and make sure your heart is happy.” (FeedsIndia)
